Character Name - Maidenheaven

Character Class - Holy Priest

Timezone - Pacific Time Zone

Current Spec and why? What do you feel your current build contributes to the raid? - Holy Priest 13/58. I feel that this spec maximizes my healing potential. The only changes I would make when I respec is to throw a point into Desperate Prayer and 2 pts in Holy reach (which is how I normally spec but I was experimenting with specs at the time I filled out this application. What I like about the way I spec is it maximizes healing output and mana conservation/regen.

Professions - Alchemy/Herbalism

Armory Profile - http://www.wowarmory.com/character-talents.xml?r=Tichondrius&n=Maidenheaven

Computer Stability, Internet Connection/Reliability - I have a reliable computer and cable connection. The only problem I seem to have is lagging out in Dalaran infrequently.

PvE Experience. Describe your end game raiding experience at 60, 70 and 80. - I've been playing WoW since 2 weeks after initial release and have been raiding since then. At 60 I was raiding pre-bc Naxx, at 70 I cleared Kara, Gruul's, Mag's Lair, and ZA, up to the last bosses in TK/SSC/Hyjal, and 3 bosses in BT. At 80 I've cleared everything but OS 10/25 with 2d and 3d. I raid on a holy priest and a resto shaman.

Former guilds, and why you left - I'm currently in Dynasty and NND but I'm transfering off of Tichondrius and looking for a guild on Destromath to raid with. (My guild before Dynasty and NND was Silent Wake but they server transfered and the guild disbanded. The reason for the disband as far as I was told was that the GM didn't want to lead a guild anymore). My reason for wanting to transfer is I've been on Tich for too long and I'm looking for something different. There's way too much trash talking and ninja looting going on on Tich these days.

Why us? Describe your reasons for applying. - I read your forum post and your guild seems to fit well with what I want to accomplish in game. I want to join a group of skilled/dedicated players to raid with.

What do you enjoy most about raiding with the class that you play? - I like the challenge of keeping the tanks and raid alive. I believe that healers have an important job to do and I take my class responsibilities seriously.

What percentage of raids can you attend, within our raid schedule? (Tues-Thurs, 7:30-11:30PM PST) Would you be willing to raid a little overtime during progression nights? - I can commit to attending 95% of the raids. I leave myself that 5% leeway on the off chance my daughter might get injured or need some help with an important school project but those things are very few and far between. I RARELY miss raids.

Would you be willing to change your spec for the progression of the guild? Yes, I would be willing to respec for guild progression but I would hope that it would be a temporary respecc until the position was filled by a new member.

Due to the initiate process, class attendance, and raid makeup changing based on the encounter, can you handle being sat out and/or rotated in and out of the raids? - TBH, I don't really like raids being on rotation but I'm flexible.

What are the expectations and goals for your character? - My goal for my character is to progress through Ulduar. My expectation is that I am able to obtain the gear necessary to accomplish this goal but gear isn't my primary goal.

I was referenced by (Details Please) - I'm new to the server so I don't know anyone from your guild yet. I hope to meet some of you soon though. =)

Additional Comments - My main characters will be transfering to Destromath on the 17. Maidenheaven is my holy priest and Sweetdreemz is my resto shaman http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Tichondrius&n=Sweetdreemz. I have alts I'm currently working on on Destromath in the meantime, Faeridust lvl 75 balance druid, and Nichi lvl 75 warlock. Thank you for taking the time to review my application and I look forward to hearing from you!

Although we have accomplished much of the PVE content as a small guild, we are by no means a "hardcore" raiding guild. That being defined as raiding 5+days a week. Would you be ok with what some would consider a fairly relaxed schedule of 3, possibly 4 days a week? We value activity and getting things done quickly in that 3 day time span rather than dragging it out over the course of roughly a week.

Also, I don't know much about priest itemization, but I don't see many priests with more than 2/5 Tier 7. Is the 4 piece bonus worth it over
other off-set pieces that may provide better stats? Again, forgive my ignorance as I don't know too much about priest itemization, just something I've noticed on priests I have inspected. Is Inner Focus a good utility talent? Or something that is generally pure preference?

Other than that, app looks good. Any healer that has an appetite for healing and loves the challenge of healing would be valuable to any raid.

Good Luck.

only comments i have is that as a priest healer also your spec is good but could use tweaking 2/2 healing focus is unneeded 1/2 if plenty and then you could have inner focus which is the standard 14/57 spec most raiding holy priests use. also your cloak chant from everything ive read/heard haste is better than wisdom by a long shot. trinkets im assuming you just havent got any better due to losing rolls but i relaly dont understand the spending of 12k gold on the darkmoon card its not that good for priests. i do applaud you for gettin the top end enchants it shows you do min/max your gear and you like to do whatever it takes to improve your character

as to malth: 2 pc is the best way but if he hasnt had drops or got outrolled 4pc bonus isnt bad and inner fire provides more spell power and with the amount of threat tanks pull in wotlk silent resolve is not needed so might as well take the extra spell power to fill out that tier and get on to meditation its more of a throughput gain.

Application for Maidenheaven - Holy priest Empty Hello

I didn't pay for the deck, I'm an Inscriber and I made it so no cost to me. As far as my spec, I've playing around with it trying out some things. And for gear, yes the tier bonus is worth it. I've been doing research on gear and right now the gear I'm utilizing is the best for my spec. Also, the Greatness card and the majestic trinket are BiS for holy priests. But thanks for the input.

Application for Maidenheaven - Holy priest Empty As for haste....

Post  Maidenheaven Tue Apr 07, 2009 3:39 am

My haste was at 478, but I've dropped haste to stack more spirit. I've been reviewing many other priests (who are awesome healers) and I've noticed that haste really isn't that important. Crit and spirit seem to do more. Spirit = boost to sp with my spec as well.

dont mean to step on toes but spirit is useless. with the way mana regen is gonna work in 3.1 and the lowering of OO5FSR mana regen spirit isnt gonna be near as good and with the gear level and difficulty of the raids now mana is not a problem 99.5% of the time. as for your trinkets being BiS no they arent. not even close. BiS trinket period for holy priest is spirit-world glass from gothik in 10 man. as far as proof i can prove your hps and hpm being lower with your gear than the gear i can recommend through theorycraft.crit isnt that important for holy compared to haste. for haste you want to get your flash down to 1 sec cd or close to and leave your haste there. for holy optimal raiding stats are 25% crit, 10% haste, 2.6k spell power, 500 mp5 I5FSR all raid buffed and then to stack more haste as needed to keep the 1 sec cast time on flash. obviously you don't know your class near as well as you think i suggest going to http://elitistjerks.com/f77/t35208-wotlk_healing_compendium_v3_0_theorycraft_specs_etc/ and reading up to maybe learn some stuff about your class. you should have sold that trinket for 12k gold and went into 10 man naxx and got your actual BiS trinket. majestic is decent but again not BiS as you claim. now that ive looked at your gear closer you are gemmed way wrong also. spirit is NOT that huge of a gain. the green gems are useless.if thats a yellow slot im assuming since you put sp/spirit in most your slots(which is horrible for min/max healing) you should use the 9spellpower/8haste gem or 9spellpower/8int gem is both much better for throughput. you really need to relook at your spec as ive noticed you didnt even take test of faith which is extremely more useful then the free flash you get occasionally from surge of light. and only having 1/3 in improved healing is gimping you also. imo it looks as if with your spec you need the gear/gem u used with all that spirit because your wasting alot of mana. please i beg of you go to that thread i listed above and LEARN YOUR CLASS. i hate seeing priests embarrass the entire class by acting like they know what they are doing and looking more and more like a jackass.
